Evening MBA students fulfill their Global Experience Module by participating in one of several one-week study abroad options. Past destinations include Argentina, Brazil, China, the Netherlands, Nicaragua, South Africa, and the UAE.

The quality of an applicant's work experience is an important factor in the application review process. 100% of our students have full-time work experience following their undergraduate degree. Most students have at least 2 years of work experience; the average is 6-7 years.

All core courses are offered on-campus and online. Elective options are available in on-campus and online formats but not all electives may be delivered in all formats. You may choose to complete your MBA online, on-campus, or mix and match course formats. All on-campus courses are held at the Goizueta Business School on Emory University's main campus in Atlanta.

The typical schedule includes two class meetings per week from 6:30-9:30pm. Classes are held Monday through Thursday during fall, spring, and summer semesters. Core courses are typically scheduled on Monday and Wednesday evenings. For additional information please view the Program Structure.

The Evening program is designed to be flexible for the busy working professional. You can speed up or slow down the pace of the program each semester to adjust to your work and life commitments. Most students take three years to complete the program although one can finish in as little as 24 months or take up to six years to graduate.

In addition to regularly scheduled core and elective courses, students can elect to participate in opportunities to accelerate their program. These include Washington Campus, a Directed Study elective, and our Accelerated Course Electives (ACE).

The first year curriculum is a series of core courses to provide a solid foundation in business. However, students can start to take electives as early as their second semester. Many concentration options for students to pursue. For more information and to see the list of concentrations view the Concentration Options.

A limited number of credit hours may be transferred to Emory's Evening MBA program. Students may transfer a maximum of 12 elective credit hours (i.e. up to four 3-credit-hour elective courses). These courses must have been completed within 5 years prior to enrollment at Goizueta as part of a graduate degree-seeking program from an AACSB accredited university or college. Credit hours earned as part of a completed graduate degree are not eligible for use as transfer credits. Core MBA courses cannot be transferred, only electives. Transfer credit is not part of the admissions process and requests for consideration of transfer credit will be reviewed by the Associate Dean of the Evening MBA program and the Evening MBA Program Faculty Committee after a student has been admitted and enrolled in the program. Final decisions on transfer credit are made exclusively by the Evening MBA Program Faculty Committee subject to the recommendation of the Associate Dean of the Evening MBA Program.

Waiver exams are available for most core courses. If waived, the core course will be replaced with an elective course.

Yes, Goizueta's MBA degree does have STEM designation. The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) allows graduates of STEM programs on F-1 visas, who work for an E-Verify employer, the opportunity to work full-time in the US. In addition to the normal Optional Practical Training (OPT) period of 12 months for international students, a STEM degree makes possible a 24-month extension of post-completion OPT, offering total potential eligibility of up to 36 months

If you feel your score does not accurately reflect your capabilities, then you should consider retaking the GMAT. We do not average scores, we consider only the highest total score. Multiple test takings do not negatively impact how an application is reviewed.
