Biography
With a background in English and History, Hailey Hunt didn’t initially see business as the obvious next step—but the more she explored it, the more it made sense. “At the core of business is communication, the main focus of my English degree, and the needs of people, which is the driver of all history,” Hailey explains. She saw business as an avenue where she could combine her storytelling ability with data-driven decision-making. “The challenge of leveraging these qualities in a new setting while strengthening my quantitative skills lit a fire that led me to Goizueta.”
Choosing Goizueta felt like a natural decision. Having attended Emory College of Arts and Science as an undergraduate, Hailey was familiar with Goizueta Business School. “I knew of its stellar reputation, innovative approaches, and abundant opportunities. It also didn’t hurt that Atlanta is one of my favorite cities, so I was happy to stay longer.”
Hailey believes her non-linear work experience brings a fresh perspective to the classroom. “Having worked with people ranging from elected officials to a former NOMA chef, my diversity of professional experience and the learning that comes with that gives me a unique perspective and approach to problem solving and collaboration.”
Hailey touts Goizueta’s culture as one of the most impactful aspects of her experience. “Being a part of the day-to-day culture solidifies how driven the students and professors are. There is a constant air of camaraderie, collaboration, pleasurable intensity, and grit in Goizueta.”
