You get Goizueta IMPACT, our signature approach to experiential learning that bridges theory and practice. Tackle a real business challenge for a sponsoring organization, gaining hands-on experience that prepares you with real-world skills for long-term career success.

Summer Block 1

The Structured Problem-Solving core course builds the foundational skills of problem solving, influential communication, and managing internal and external stakeholders. The Block 2 IMPACT project / project sponsor is announced at the end of Block 1.
Summer Block 2

Project teams launch and begin work. Students apply problem-solving skills to a real-world problem. Course material provides additional content depth in structured problem-solving, information design, influential communication, engaging with the players, and managing the team through the problem-solving process. Faculty and external coaches support the project teams. Student teams present their recommendations to the project sponsor in a showcase format at the end of the summer.

How do Projects Work?

You'll work in teams of five to six students to address an issue of strategic importance for a sponsoring organization. You will apply the structured problem-solving approach and engage with the project sponsor a few times during Block 2. Throughout the project, you will be guided by our expert faculty who provide team and leadership coaching to cultivate your skills and capabilities.

Tackling complex challenges around tariffs, global markets, and profitability, students gained hands-on experience solving real business problems—building the confidence and skills to “hit the ground running” in their future careers.
