Biography
Derrick Luzolo is a proud Naval Veteran who served in the United States Navy from 2007 to 2018 as an Electronics Technician. During his service, he was responsible for repairing and maintaining critical communications and radar equipment. After separating from the Navy in 2018, Derrick transitioned into the civilian workforce through the Corporate Fellowship Program, Hiring Our Heroes. This program provided him with the opportunity to job shadow various functions within a leading corporation, equipping him with valuable insights and skills.
Derrick's dedication and expertise led to his hiring as an Engineering Specialist at UPS Capital, where he has since progressed to the role of Industrial Engineering Manager. In addition to his professional responsibilities, he serves as the chair of the Veterans Business Resource Group (VBRG) for the Corporate Campuses at UPS, demonstrating his ongoing commitment to supporting fellow veterans.
Derrick is determined to leverage his military experience to bring a unique perspective to the courses he engages in, applying the skills he acquires to his daily work environments. His goal is to successfully graduate from the MBV program, using the knowledge and lessons gained to secure a promotion or a better job opportunity, further advancing his career.
